Sakura Ch. 17

Akatsuki’s P.O.V.
Trust her? Does she even have to tell me too. What is she up to? I think to myself and look at her again. I see something move out of the corner of my eyes and look at it. My eyes bulge and I look back at her. She smirks. “You two are really something, you know that?” Rido says. I pretend I didn’t see anything and look back at Rido. “You haven’t seen anything yet.” Sakura mumbles. “What was that?” Rido asks. “I said that you haven’t seen anything yet, hear me now?” she says. “Well aren’t you feisty.” He says amused.  “You have no idea.” Me and her say at the same time. “Just like your mother Juri. Now that I think about it, you and your mother have a lot in common. Your chocolate brown hair, your facial expressions, your attitude, even down to the curves of your body. I always liked that about your mother, I used to take hours at a time just to stare at her, if it wasn’t for that Haruka I think me and her would have been married.” He says. She scuffs. “Dream on.” She mumbles under her breath. “You forgot to mention one little thing.” She says. “And what might that be?” he asks curious. “Our inability to accept defeat.” She says and at the same time yanks his hand off of her chin, flips in back of him, and pierces the vine through his chest. Rido lets out a cry and drops to the ground defeated. She makes the vine recoil enough to be out of his chest just as a black orb is released from Kaname’s lifeless body. “Sakura! Watch out!” I say and at the same time, make a fireball, and throw it at the orb; which breaks into a million tiny shards and disappears into the ground. It’s a good thing I’m running on adrenaline right now, there’s no way I’d make it otherwise. I think to myself and look at Sakura.
Sakura’s P.O.V.
I stare at Kaname’s lifeless body in silence until I feel a warm hand on my good shoulder. “You had to do it…there was no other way.” Akatsuki says. I exhale and place my hand on top of his. “I know.” I say and turn my head towards him. “We should take him back to the estate and get those wounds of yours taken care of, you’ve lost a lot of blood.” I say, turn towards him, place my hand gently on his left shoulder where he was bitten, and look into his eyes. He cups the side of my face gently with one hand, puts his other hand on top of my hand, and smiles. “I’ll be fine, come on, I’ll carry him back.” He says. “No, you need to rest for a bit, you’re lucky to be alive…let’s not push it.” I say, bite the palm of my right hand and extend it to him. He looks at me in shock and pushes my arm away. “You need blood Akatsuki, those wounds are serious. You know I won’t make you do anything, you can trust me.” I say truthfully and mouth the word drink as I extend my hand to him again, and he nods. He gently takes my hand and presses his mouth onto my wound. As he drinks my blood I feel my cheeks get warm and I knew I was blushing but I didn’t care. He’s safety is all I care about. I think to myself at the same time he pulls his mouth away and pulls me closer to him. “Thank you.” he says and looks deep into my eyes. “You’re welcome.” I say and I back away when he tries to kiss me. As much as I would love for him to kiss me, I have to keep my distance while my blood runs its course through his body because the only reason he tried to do that was because of my blood being in his system. When a Noble has a Pureblood’s blood inside of them our power messes with their feelings, thoughts, and actions…the Noble becomes a slave to the Pureblood who gave he or she blood until the Pureblood’s blood leaves their system completely. I think to myself. “What’s wrong?” he asks. “Nothing it’s just…right now…you’re basically under my compulsion while my blood is in your system…I don’t want to make you do anything you don’t want to do.” I say sadly. “How do you know if I want to or not?” he asks and tries to kiss me again. “Akatsuki stop!” I say, he stops, and I put my hands over my mouth. “I mean…ugh! How am I going to do this?” I ask myself frustrated. “I can’t let you do this but… I want to but…I can’t…well I can but…I can’t to tell you to stop…though I did…but I didn’t want to though I did…and I should’ve because of the circumstance that we’re in but…ugh! This is so frustrating!” I think to myself out loud. “Sakura, are you okay? Do you need me to do anything? Because I will, if it makes you happy…” He says concerned and I put my hands over my ears to tune him out. Now to figure out how to help Kaname…I got it! I take my right hand away from my ear, look at Kaname, and place my bloody palm over his mouth to let the blood drip onto his lips.
